Project Objective

To promote skill development and sustainable employment in Bangladesh through collaboration between the European Union, the Government of Bangladesh, the private sector, and civil society organizations, in order to enhance access to quality job opportunities.

Baseline Assessment

• Needs Analysis: Identify the skills required in the Bangladeshi labor market, particularly in growing sectors such as information technology, sustainable agriculture, and manufacturing.
• Policy Evaluation: Examine existing policies related to education and employment at both the EU and Bangladeshi levels to identify areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Consult with governments, employers, trade unions, and non-governmental organizations to gather insights on required skills and job opportunities.

Main Activities

01. Training and Skills Development

• Create targeted training programs in collaboration with local educational institutions and European companies.
• Promote vocational training courses that respond to labor market needs.     

 02. Job Placement Programs

• Develop internships and apprenticeships in collaboration with European companies in strategic sectors.
• Activate mentorship initiatives between European professionals and Bangladeshi talents.

 03. Entrepreneurship Promotion

• Provide training and support for starting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Bangladesh, focusing on sustainable models.
• Create a network of incubators for startups that support young entrepreneurs.

  04. Monitoring and Evaluation

• Establish success indicators to monitor progress against project objectives.
• Conduct periodic evaluations to measure the impact of activities and make adjustments as necessary.

Target Beneficiaries

• Young unemployed and underemployed individuals in Bangladesh.
• Women and girls, with a focus on promoting gender parity.
